Jin ah finished Master of Fine Art (Metals and Jewellery design) at Monash University, Melbourne in 2008. She emigrated from South Korea in 2000 and studied one semester in Fachhochschule Düsseldorf, University of applied science in Germany in 2006.
As a contemporary jewellery maker, She likes the materials used for her works to have their own original character and qualities. She started to use perforated mild steel in 2004 and continue to enjoy using it as it provides her with new ideas for investigating form and space.
Currently she is back from 14 months of maternal leave and about to start her new collection of works for galleries and will introduce more colours on them using her precious moments with her baby, Ara as her inspiration.
In 2010 Jin ah participated in “Spirit of Jang-in” exhibition at Power House museum in Sydney and currently is participating in “Joyaviva” and “Tinker, Tailor, Soldier and Sailor” exhibitions. She sells her works through e.g etal and Studio Ingot.
