Anna Davern will teach a day-long workshop in sublimation printing onto metal and making jewellery from the material.
The sublimation process uses heat to transfer dye onto a plastic medium such as Perspex, plastic coated metal and polyester fabric. The result is a premium full-color, photographic-quality image that will not crack, peel or wash away from the substrate.
A wide selection of images will be available to print to a variety of pre-cut metal shapes. Jump rings, earring hooks and other findings will be available to create items of jewellery from the printed components. All materials will be provided. Participants will take home a number of items of wearable jewellery.
